[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

While reading the morning paper, Muli’s eyes spotted: “Barack Obama is about to arrive to Israel for a short vis…”. Without reading any further he immidiately texted Irad: -“You would not believe who’s coming to town”. -“Who?” -“Barack”. -“Who?” -“Barack!” -“Barack Who?” -“Barack. Obama.”

And it’s gonna be delivered it to him. We had to finish it since it had only a rough version where Irad’s voice guided the chorus. The rest of the voices were already there, performed by the original talents: Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama.

So we brought The Holy Land Singers to do it. Muli looked for the place BO  would be staying in Israel. The King David Hotel, Jerusalem. It’s an opportunity that must not be missed.

While looking for a contact of the Holy Land Singers, Irad found the name: Shavakeyah Bat Israel. Truly a great soul diva. He told her the whole story and sent her the sketch. It’s been a day or two and no reply from Shavakeyah. Pictures of BO with soldiers in Iraq are on television and you could really feel he’s close to Jerusalem. Tuesday night. Tonight he’s really coming. Suddenly a call from Shavakeyah: “I love it, and I’ll be honored to do it! I’m on my way to Tel Aviv.”

The recording took about five hours. BO landed in Ben Gurion Airport, while a terrorist shot innocent people 200m from The King David Hotel. Irad finished mixing and burning it to a cd, with a short letter attached, from us to BO.

At 4pm we got a message saying that the envelope with the song (3 cds and letter copies) had been personally handed to BO’s Personal Assistant.

Yes, We Can.
